Jeff Rozovics was first introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after watching the original UFC. In October 1996, Jeff decided to sign up for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class at the Carlson Gracie academy in downtown Chicago. After that first class, Jeff was hooked and hasn’t looked back since. Jeff has been a student of Carlson Gracie Jr. for almost twenty years. He also had the opportunity to train under the legendary Carlson Gracie Sr. when he lived in Chicago. Jeff holds a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Carlson Gracie Jr which he received in July 2016.
Jeff is an active competitor and has competed in numerous world class jiu jitsu tournaments, such as the Pans, World Masters and Adult Worlds. Jeff has traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil a number of times to attend BJJ camps and competitions.
Jeff is an assistant instructor for the Carlson Gracie Team HQ academy and has helped out for many years. He works with the beginning student as well as the active competitor; he modifies his classes to the student’s skill level and ensures that everyone is benefiting from the class.
When Jeff is not training jiu jitsu, he manages a CPA firm in the northwest suburbs. Jeff has been able to take numerous principles learned in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has applied to his own professional practice. Jeff enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with his family.
